The Pearly Girls return to solve a high school reunion murder in this sequel to Murder
Strikes a Chord.

Event planner Cassidy Jamison and her not-so-helpful sexagenarian staff of Roxie, Kate, Aileen,
and Ruthanne are up to their elbows with a high school reunion committee’s constantly changing
requirements for an event that must be the most elaborate and memorable at all costs.
When well-known reporter, Darcy Branch, and former cheerleader, Brittany Mahoney, are found
dead on her property, Cassidy and the gang have to find the killer before the party’s over. And
the more Cassidy and her Chihuahua mix, Elvis, dig for clues, the more deadly secrets they
uncover—including one that changes everything she knows about her family’s history.
The Pearly Girls need to solve the case before the Class of 2009 goes down in Ivy Springs
history as the deadliest reunion.

Interview questions:

What is your favorite part of this book and why?

I love that I have characters from different generations. It is a lot of fun to write about
different characters with different perspectives. Cassidy, my sleuth, is Gen Z, while her friends and employees, the Pearly Girls, are Boomers. This is my Veronica Mars meets the Golden Girls series.

If you could spend time with a character from your book whom would it be? And what would you do during that day?

I would love to spend time with Cassidy and the Pearly Girls. Cassidy would be a fun friend to hang
out with. She is so focused on her work, and the gals are all retired and living their best life.

What books/authors have most inspired you?

There have been so many.
I guess it all started with the writers who were Carolyn Keene, creators of the Nancy Drew Mysteries. These books started me on this journey. I read a lot of different genres, but I tend to prefer mysteries and thrillers.

Are your characters based off real people or did they all come entirely from your imagination?

Most of the characters have traits of real people.
The Pearly Girls are named for my grandmothers, grandmother’s friend, and my great-grandmother.

What made you want to become a writer?

I have loved books and mysteries since Scooby-Doo and Nancy Drew. It’s fun to create stories and
worlds. I’ve been writing for a long time, but I wasn’t published until my forties.
