on that hill in a castle of sand
being nice, coming out of the blue

this romance had better leave no trace
but at sunset we sat here on the staircase

The Seasons Inside and the Memories We Cannot Hide
Dear Sarandipity’s,
Thank you so much for having me today. I would like this occasion to be about one of the lyric
excerpts from my publication of cinematic pop songs in progress called VANISH. It is a track
about the bittersweet feelings of letting go and processing, knowing that people evolve,
situations change, and sometimes, even if a specific moment was beautiful, true, and fine, it
does not always stay that way.
The reflection is sparked and led through an old wishes card, randomly found again, though full
of lovely thoughts that are no longer the case. It is woven in a delicate interplay between light
and rain, as time passes by and even the card gets consumed. The message of these lyrics is
that sometimes things do not work, and that is okay. Letting go without regret is such a
liberating thing. Memories can hurt, but avoiding their processing is even more painful. So it is
better to handle all the rain, which stands for sadness, and the light, which stands for getting
over, to move forward.
The excerpt of VANISH goes like this:
Those words are hiding in the rain
Even vanishing, the memories remain
Those words are hiding in the light
Even vanishing, I hope you are all right
Don’t you need someone to take you by the hand?
Don’t you need someone to help you understand?
Don’t you need someone to stay until the end?
Reflection:
Light and rain never happen in vain.
