Wistful Whispers
by Kaylene Winter
(Charming Irish, #3)
Publication date: June 9th 2025
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Synopsis:
Wistful Whispers is an irresistible battle of the wills where surrendering to forbidden temptation could cost them everything.
I never promised forever.
A good time? Absolutely.
Heartbreak? Only if they got too attached.
My reputation as a quiet playboy precedes me—women talk, and my ‘talents’ follow me wherever I go. But I’ve always been upfront. No commitments. No expectations. No complications.
Marcella Delgado is nothing but complications. Brilliant. Fierce. Eight years older. And the attorney trying to take down my boss in a malpractice case. She should hate me on sight—hell, she does. But that doesn’t stop the heat between us from igniting the moment we meet.
She’s heard the stories about me firsthand, right there in the depositions. She knows exactly what I’m good at, and even though she fights it, I can see the temptation in her eyes.
One night. One line crossed.
Now my future’s unraveling—and she might be the only thing I don’t want to let go.
For the first time, I want it all.
And I’ll fight like hell to be the man she can’t leave behind.

Guest Post from Kaylene Winter
10 things you wish every aspiring writer would know
There is no “right” way to write. Outlining, pantsing, dictating, typing, scribbling on Post-
its—it all counts. Don’t get hung up on process. Find what keeps you writing and trust it.
Your first draft is allowed to be awful. Seriously. It can be messy, chaotic, and riddled
with plot holes. No one ever published a first draft. Give yourself permission to write badly so
you can rewrite brilliantly.
Writing is rewriting. Every single book you love has been edited, re-edited, and polished
within an inch of its life. The magic happens in revision.
You will doubt yourself. Often. Whether it’s your first book or your fifteenth, imposter
syndrome is real. Push through. Trust the story and remind yourself why you started.
Read. Everything. Read inside your genre and far outside it. Pay attention to pacing,
tension, emotional payoff. Reading trains your writer brain better than any class ever will.
Publishing is not always fair. You can write the most gorgeous prose in the world and still
struggle to find readers. Or you can go viral on TikTok and not know why. Focus on your voice,
your audience, and the long game.
Protect your joy. The industry will try to make this feel like a hustle. Don’t let it. Write for
money if that’s your goal, but always write for love first.
Your voice matters. No one else has your background, your experiences, or your
perspective. That thing you think makes you weird or different? That’s the thing that makes you
unforgettable.
Finish the book. You can’t publish a half-done draft. You can’t revise something you didn’t
finish. The most powerful habit a writer can build is to complete what they start.
You’re already a writer. You don’t need a contract or a publisher to earn that title. If you
write, you’re a writer. Own it.
