Welcome to Sarandipity’s
Life doesn’t come with an instruction manual.
Most of us are figuring it out one day, one mistake, and one lesson at a time.
Over the years, I noticed something funny. Whenever someone came to me with a question—whether it was about dinner, starting a business, organizing a home, making a gift, raising kids, or simply getting through a difficult season—I found myself saying the same thing:
“I’ve got a recipe for that.”
Sometimes it really was a recipe.
More often, it was a plan, an idea, a lesson learned the hard way, or a practical solution that made life just a little easier.
Eventually, I realized it was more than a phrase.
It was my philosophy.

Around Here…
A recipe isn’t just something you cook.
It’s anything that helps you solve a problem, learn a new skill, create something meaningful, or enjoy life a little more.
Around here, you’ll find recipes for:
• building a business
• organizing your week
• making dinner
• creating family traditions
• raising confident kids
• navigating parenthood
• celebrating the seasons
• living life with a little more intention
Because sometimes the best recipes have nothing to do with food.

Meet Sara
Hey, neighbor. I’m Sara—the writer, creator, chronic idea collector, and slightly overambitious mayor behind Sarandipity’s.
I’ve been writing for more than 20 years and freelancing professionally since 2005. Along the way, I’ve written thousands of articles, created more projects than I could probably count, built businesses from home, raised a family, learned a whole lot of things the hard way, and discovered that some of the most useful knowledge never comes from a textbook.
It comes from doing.
I’m a mom, entrepreneur, writer, gardener, from-scratch cook, DIYer, lifelong learner, and firm believer that you don’t need an enormous budget—or a perfectly organized life—to build something good.
I’ve spent decades learning about everything from gardening and homesteading to cooking, parenting, business, freelancing, crafts, organization, and making a home work for the people actually living in it.
Some things I learned because I wanted to.
Some because I needed to.
And quite a few because something went spectacularly wrong and I had no choice but to figure it out.
That’s really where Sarandipity’s came from.
I wanted one place where all those seemingly unrelated pieces of life could belong together—because real life isn’t a niche. On any given Tuesday, you might need a dinner recipe, a way to entertain the kids, help organizing your business, instructions for making something yourself, and five minutes somewhere quiet before you lose your ever-loving mind.
There should be a place for all of it.
So I built one.
Welcome to town.
Beyond Town Limits
Sarandipity’s may be home base, but it isn’t the only place my ideas have wandered. Over the years, a few projects have grown into homes of their own—each built for a different part of life, but all rooted in the same belief: life doesn’t come with an instruction manual, but we can help each other figure it out.
