Whoops! Do you ever feel like something was just a few days ago, only to realize it’s been way longer? Yeah, me too, since it’s been nearly a month since I’ve posted on this site. Yikes. Talk about mom neglect.
Building a work-from-home business requires much more work, effort, and attention than I ever expected. But trying to juggle multiple clients and business ventures has left me overworked and underpaid.
Building a Work from Home Business – Where to Start
I feel like I’m all over the map on how I’m managing my businesses. Even more, I’m not sure I’ve got a strong work-life balance in place that’s giving me the ideal time off.
I am putting in twelve to sixteen hours a day – typically six to seven days a week – and yet I seem like I don’t have much if anything to show for it.
And what’s so sad for me is that the tasks I’m doing are quick, typically less than 30 minutes. But, the whole process from creation to publication can be done in under an hour. Yet, I barely get two to three products done and up a day.
I started my journey by trying to do everything at once. My online store, Etsy, Koji, all the damn social medias. I use Canva for everything, which is great cause it’s so easy and affordable.
Procrastination – It’s What’s for Dinner
My business is helping other people grow their businesses. I create and sell a ton of planners, schedules, products, printables, and calendars.
I write all about how to stay organized and on task. And how to go from none to fully stocked. Like my upcoming 7-Day Stock Your Store Challenge. Over seven days, you’ll create 100 products to fill and stock your online store. Every day, we’ll cover a new type of product and you’ll create 10 selections per day.
On day seven, you’ll learn how to do product descriptions, tags, eye-catching titles, and mock-ups to use to promote your products. I came up with the idea a few months ago. And yet, I’ve been dragging my feet because I couldn’t pick what products I wanted to use for my challenge.
Last night, as I was trying to fall asleep, it came to me. And since we’re about to be on a new month, I think it’s the perfect time to launch my challenge. But because I’m not expected to get it off and going too well this month, I’ll be hosting this challenge every month for the foreseeable future.
And did I mention that this challenge is FREE?
Time to Grow My Business – No More BS’ing
While it’s been a minute since I’ve updated my blog here, that doesn’t mean I’ve been slacking in other areas of my business. I have been doing better at posting on my regular blog. And a bit on my social media. But I’ve really been stocking up in my stores. They say the magic number to really start seeing a profit from Etsy is 100. My store currently has less than 50 products. It’s time to knuckle down and get 50 more products listed! I got this.
Join my email list to keep up with current events going on each week, access to my Freebies folder, and my ever-growing resources page. Plus, each email will be stocked full of free resources, tools, and advice.
