EVERY GOOD STORY IS WAITING FOR THE RIGHT READER

The Bookshop
Stories live here.
Tucked beneath the old oak trees on Schoolhouse Hill is a little bookshop where nobody minds if you stay awhile.
Come looking for a mystery, a cookbook, a bedtime story, your next impossible-to-put-down read, or absolutely nothing in particular.
Browse every shelf.
Read the first chapter.
Ask for a recommendation.
Settle into a chair and forget what time it is.
Because books have a funny way of finding us exactly when we need them.
Take your time. The right story has a way of finding you.
Find Your Corner
Nobody says browsing has to be efficient.
Find a comfortable spot, open something interesting, and stay until you’re ready to move again.
By the Fire
A deep chair. A warm lamp. A fireplace crackling nearby.
Perfect for mysteries, rainy afternoons, and books that accidentally turn into “I’ll just read one more chapter.”
By the Window
Sunlight, a cushioned window seat, and a view of the garden outside.
Some books are better when the whole afternoon is available.
On the Porch
Grab a rocker beneath the oak trees and bring your book outside.
Coffee from Main Street is strongly encouraged.
Deadlines are not.
For Little Readers
A cozy corner built closer to the floor, where picture books, first chapter books, family read-alouds, and big imaginations are always welcome.
Every lifelong reader has a first favorite book.

Neighbor Recommends
The books somebody finishes and immediately thinks:
You have GOT to read this.
Recommendations, favorites, Book of the Month picks, and stories passed from one neighbor to another.
Neighbor Recommends
The best book recommendations rarely begin with a professional review.
They begin with:
“You have to read this.”
Around the Bookshop, neighbors leave little handwritten notes beneath the books they loved—the ones that made them laugh, kept them awake, taught them something, or found them at exactly the right moment.
“I Couldn’t Put It Down”
For the books responsible for tired mornings, ignored laundry, and the dangerous sentence:
I’ll stop after this chapter.
“This Made Me Think of You”
Some books practically demand to be handed to somebody else.
A story that reminds you of a friend. A cookbook your sister would love. A book that says something you’ve been trying to put into words.
Those are meant to be passed along.
“I Needed This One”
Sometimes a book arrives during exactly the right season.
It comforts. Encourages. Distracts. Explains. Inspires.
Or simply gives you somewhere else to be for a little while.
Those books tend to stay with us.
From the Bookshop
There’s always something happening between these shelves.
New books arrive. Authors stop by. Characters occasionally have opinions of their own. And sometimes we’re allowed to peek inside a story before deciding whether we’re ready to take it home.

Author Interviews
Pull up a chair and meet the person behind the pages.

Character Interviews
Sometimes talking to the author isn’t enough.
Step inside the story and hear directly from the characters themselves—assuming they’re willing to cooperate.
